  1. I really liked that Alicia had actually been to crazy horse I think it added a nice touch. I think they should have spoken more about why they felt Crazy Horse is important.

  2. This was a very good presentation. I could tell a lot of work was put into gathering the information and preparing to present. I think it was most interesting to learn about Crazy Horse's personality and how he may have felt about this monument. It's true that he probably isn't very happy about what is going on in the Black Hills.

  3. Great presentation. I wish that they would have more man power working on the monument to get it done in the next ten years or so. I have a feeling with another depression of some sort many people will not be able to donate money having them fall out of the game and never completing it.

  4. I liked your presentation on Crazy Horse. I leanred a lot because frankly I don't know much about it. I am looking foward to when it finally gets completed to see if peoples opinions will have changed.

  5. I like how you incorporated a video into your presentation to help get to know about those who worked on the sculpture. I never knew that this sculpture was so much bigger than Mt. Rushmore. I think that you guys were unprepared and did not look at the audience enough. I think that you could have given more details into why they did not want any government involvement.

  6. What I learned is that it is a family project with no government funding, because of promise to natives. Part of the presentation that seemed the best was the video that help make clear what was said in presentation.
Constructive criticism: presentation seemed to be very good and what was clear was that the family is probably milking the event til there rich. There didn't seem any part was left unpolished.

  7. I really liked the video that they included in the presentation. It gave it a more first hand perspective. The one thing I disliked was that Alicia pointed out a picture, but it was very small and didn't seem to be the focus for the slide. Also, Ziolkowski was mentioned before being introduced. I think it should have been vice versa because I was very confused at the first mention of his name.

  9. The vide that was presented to us was a very intriguing video. This group was very informational about their topic; however, I wish they would have tied in why they did not want the project being funded by the government.

  10. They did a good job of telling why the Native Americans wanted to have crazy horse sculpted. I learned that they rufuse the governments help and that is interesting to me. They really constructed this well and it was well organized.

  11. It was nice to hear about a culture largely forgotten in this day and age as well as the man who defeated Custard. Another good part is the flip side about why the monument shouldn't be built.
Why they don't want more government could only add to the presentation.

  12. I think it's crazy how long it took the family to create just the head of this statue! And to think that the rest of it will be done "within twenty years" baffles me even more. What really interests me about this statue is why it is pointing out to the land and woods; I did not remember about the treaty with the U.S. and how they were not supposed to take over the Black Hills because it was sactred to the Lakota Tribe.

  13. I had nearly no knowledge of the Crazy Horse sculpture before, so I really enjoyed this presentation and learned a lot about it. I am very impressed by the sheer size of this sculpture.
I think the group presented it very well and could only improve on not relying on power point as much to make the presentation flow better.

  16. There was a lot of good information in this presentation and both Zach and Alicia spoke clearly and were easily audible. I learned that the monument is only being built with money from donations and that no money has been taken from the government. The information and the video really helped to make the presentation different from the other ones. They really did a good job and seemed to have read through their presentation a lot before hand.

  18. Even though I have been to see Crazy Horse, I didnt remember all the History behind it, but some of the information did come back to me during. From where I saw it, it still looked small but You see it from a very far distance, you dont really realize how big it truely is. I thought the video was a very nice touch. Maybe you could have said something about being compared to the Washington Monument to add to it but, overall nice Job!

    1. Thank you Amanda :), I agree we should have compared it to "Mount Rushmore" (I think you mean this, instead of the Washington Monument) haha

  19. I thought the fact Crazy Horse is entirely private funded was impressive. The fact that they have been offered and won't take any government assistance on the project is understandable given the history. I liked how detailed and informative the presentation was. I might suggest a little more eye contact with the audience, but still very good.
