  1. I liked your presentation. You guys did a really good job of not just explaining what the Smithsonian is, but also by explaining why it is important for those reasons.

  2. Good presentation its nice to see things being original unlike many places we see today that have the same style architecture.

  4. I like how you mastered your material and was not dependent on power point.

  5. Very good organization. I learned that the founder donated everything in his will to the place. That is very generous. Great job of asking questions then answering them. Overall great presentation.

  6. Good presentation overall, I enjoyed learning about your thoughts on different parts of the institution. The only thing that could have been improved was maybe be a little louder when speaking to the audience.

  7. I'd always figured the government would be heading the Smithsonian, mostly because of it's history of our nation and it being a Landmark.

  8. They really conveyed the importance and the relevance of the history that the Smithsonian preserves. it is a very important place or i should say places. i learned that it is privately funded. i thought it being in D.C that the government kept the doors open. but over all i thought that the group did well. i would say that they needed a little more confidence when talking and that they could have better attention grabbers to pull the attention of the viewers.

  9. I liked your presentation and use of video. I also did not know that they had building within New York. I think that you could have described a few of the actual museums and what each one included.

  10. Presentation went very well and there is nothing I could think of changing. Id thought the government funded part of the 19 museums the Smithsonian as, because it is located in DC.

  12. It's really cool to learn that the Smithsonian is privately funded. Anytime private entities donate their resources for the sole purpose of knowledge and education, it's impressive. Also, it's admirable that they try to maintain an objective view, even if there is some controversy over what is presented as history.

  13. This presentation was good because like Professor Lohre said, it asked questions and they stated answers. Both Shy and Meaghan shared the allotted time equally and spoke clearly and loudly. I didn't realize the Smithsonian had research centers, I just thought it was a museum. The only thing I would change is maybe add more pictures and less words on the slides. Other than that, it was a good presentation.

  14. You did a great job explaining the purpose of The Smithsonian. I never knew it is privately funded. To have helped completed your presentation, a little more information on what types of artifacts are in The Smithsonian would have been great to learn. Although there are several different artifacts from numerous different genres, a few examples would have been great.

  15. I really liked how you emphasized the importance of The Smithsonian as an institution for promoting thinking and knowledge. It's great to know that private funding is enough to create and maintain such a great place. It is a sign that we value our history and achievements and also promoting innovation.

  18. Overall I think you guys had the best presentation of the day :) You brought up some questions from an analysis of the place, along with having some good facts about it. I thought the question of "why they should get to pick the knowledge put in the musems?" was very interesting, and maybe you could have talked about it a little more. I did not really know much about the Smithodian so I learned some interesting things about it, like it bein privetly funded and having sites in New York.
