Not-this-pig Exploration

"After more than two years, klein came to a most upsetting conclusion: AT&T had built a secret room to help the federal government spy on the internet, and not just at&t's customers but everyone's." pg 249 and 250
This passage makes me wonder about what today's corporations are conspiring with large corporations. This  discovery of a room used to spy on customers was around 14 years ago and technology has advanced significantly since then. The things the government could possess now is mind-boggling and I think there is definitely a cause for concern here as they may have things which violate rights. While I understand a lot of this spying may be used to protect the US I still think the government should at least disclose what they are doing and should not involve public corporations.
