The thing that bothers me the most about this quote, is that it is true. Individuals are exposed to a wide variety of channels of different genres, that they can choose what to feed their minds. I'm guilty of it as well. As an American, I feel I should know what is going on in my own country, but I don't. I don't like news or politics, so I ignore it and change the channel to something of my own interest. We don't have to step out of our bubble and watch something that we don't like if we don't have to.
